New Music Monday: Dizzie Rascal - Flex

Dizze is back with another blend of garage and his special blend of grime. This album is not out yet in the US for some reason but it should be. Each track is pretty unique, from speed garage dance to the swing out crash of the ride cymbal on the song “sirens”. Lily Allen, Alex Turner (Artic Monkeys) and UGK make notable guest appearances. I usually hate guest rappers on albums but these guys do not sound out of place and it is actually fun to hear Dizzee play off of them. I have listened to this album enough to put it into some sort of year end list. I don’t have best friends and I don’t have best albums, I like too much music and too many people… but this is good.
